This is one of my favorite captures of Half Dome from my Yosemite trip. I processed a black and white version of it that I prefer. But, I decided to publish the color version online.
I captured this image using my 24-70mm f/2.8 tripod mounted. I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Thanks for stopping by.
Great shot. I love the layers to it (tree, Half Dome, sky, clouds) with each adding something.
Stunning photo of a majestic place on earth. Thank you.
Thanks for the kind words, Jet. I love your blog.
Beautiful photo, as always! That is some blue sky up there!
Thanks, Lavinia. I was fortunate to experience blue skies, rain, fog and snow all in 2 days. It was incredible.

I look forward to following your blog, Harold. You have some incredible images there. Kind regards – Toby
Love that blue sky and all the green in the trees. I just flew back and forth from NY for easter and was struck by how bare the trees were and how bleak the landscape looked. I guess spring will eventually color the landscape, but this is so beautiful to see in the meantime.
Thanks, Linda. I think everyone is ready for spring after this long, cold winter.
Love the variety of scenery at Yosemite National Park! It is definitely one of the gems in the US National Park system.
I couldn’t agree more, Atreyee. It is a wonderful place.
I am SO enjoying all of your Yosemite photos! Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you so much, Brittany. I’m always happy to share.
I love it… very nice this picture
Thanks, Cayo.
A wonderful capture (as always)! Beautiful light and contrasting colors.
Thanks, Tiny!
Spectacular!
Thanks, Carol.
Beautiful–I’d love to visit that neck of the woods someday.
I can’t imagine you would be disappointed, Leslie. It is an incredibly beautiful place.
What a splendid photo! You have brought out the grandeur and ruggedness of Half Dome.
Very nice. Yosemite NP is my favorite NP.
Thanks, Robin.
One of the most photographed, drawn and painted features of the great American wilderness.

Yep. This is a great shot of a spectacular location. regards Peet
Excellent capture. You did a nice job getting the textures of the face despite the sunny conditions. Nicely done.
Thanks for the kind words, Tina.
