Dry Falls-Toby Gant-2013

So, if just going to a park and hiking to a waterfall is just not enough for you. You should visit Dry Falls near Highlands, North Carolina. If you visit these falls you can actually follow the path behind the falls. However, I would not go into it thinking you will stay dry. There is plenty of mist behind the falls to ensure that you will be at best a little damp.

Smith Creek – Georgia

Smith Creek-Toby Gant-

I captured this image of Smith Creek on my recent trip to visit Anna Ruby Falls near Helen, Georgia. I’m looking forward to the leaves on the trees changing soon. I love the rich green colors. But, the fall colors will be a nice change.

I captured this image using my 24-70mm f/2.8 tripod mounted and using a circular polarizer. Thanks as always for stopping by.

Adventure at Raven Cliff Falls – Georgia

Raven Cliff Falls-Toby Gant-2013I had the pleasure of hiking to Raven Cliff Falls near Blairsville, Georgia. The forest is incredible. The trail follows beautiful Dodd Creek. I was surprised to find as many hikers and campers as I did. I’m guessing it is not a well kept secret. And with everything the trail has to offer I can see why.

Stonewall Creek Falls – Georgia

Stonewall Creek Falls-Toby Gant-0508

I had an incredible time shooting at Stonewall Creek Falls near Tiger, Georgia this morning. It is a very peaceful place. A gentleman was fly fishing about a quarter-mile downstream. Other than him, I had the area to myself.

I captured this image using my 24-70mm f/2.8. (It is now my go to lens.) I was tripod mounted and used a circular polarizer. As always, thanks for stopping by.
