Last night I found myself with my camera in hand as a lightning storm was over the Atlantic. If I disappeared from work to capture the storm then I would have to stay late to catch up. What the heck. How many opportunities like this would I come across. I’m glad I did. The storm was magnificent. I am in awe of the beauty of nature. You can see more of the images on my site at http://www.tobygant.com/jaxbeach.
If you’ve never been, an air show is a great opportunity for any photog. If you mix some incredible aircraft, blue skies, puffy white clouds and jet fuel you simply can’t miss. I took my family to the 2010 Air Show at local Naval Air Station Jacksonville today. It did not disappoint. Be sure to check it out when one comes near your home. There are several more images at my site. Please stop by and check them out.
Savannah, Georgia is one of my favorite cities in the southeast. It is steeped in history. Architecturally Savannah is stunning. Things definitely move at a slower pace here. And some days, slower can be better.
I want to give a shoutout to Jim Messer. He was able to get me on the sidelines for the Jaguars vs. the Eagles game last week. It was a really a great time and an experience I’ll never forget. We were able to shoot the game from the sidelines and attend both press conferences. Oh… there were free chilidogs for the photogs at halftime. However, I’d recommend skipping those if you’re flying early the next morning. Thanks again Jim.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been. There are some obvious changes. But, there are other things that will never change. It’s always good to visit.
